B&M Waste Services are pleased to announce that they are the recycling partner to Chester Marathon on 19th May and 6th October.
The local Carbon Neutral waste management company are dedicated to ensuring that no waste is sent to landfill, and will ensure that the 24,000 plastic bottles produced as waste during the race are 100% recycled.
B&M Waste Services have recently been awarded the ‘Plastic Free Champions’ Status by Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), as well as pledging their support to the PlasticFreeGM campaign. Recently launching a new waste minimisation campaign, Simple Swaps, B&M are advocates for the removal of unnecessary single-use items and waste.
Having run over 100 marathons, including Chester, and many of which for charity, Darrin Percy, of B&M Waste said: “As a Carbon Neutral company that actively avoid sending any waste to landfill, this partnership seemed to fit perfectly with our company values. We are thrilled to be working with Chester Marathon in recycling all plastic bottles produced as waste during the run.”
